Smallenberg Park - Rotary Anniversary Gift

The Board of the Rotary Club of Holland has authorized the 2005 Committee to
proceed with their plans for a Rotary Anniversary gift to the City of Holland.
They will be proposing to the City Council that a new and outstanding
children’s playground become a key part of the City’s plan for a renovated
Smallenberg Park near the Municipal Stadium.

The gift will have signage that includes Rotary’s Four Way Test and the Rotary
Circle. It will consist of $75,000 and installation and maintenance help for
at least five years. The Club will launch numerous fundraising initiatives,
some of which will involve the general public. While the Rotary Club seeks to
maintain many of its other service efforts locally and internationally, this
Centennial gift will be make a lasting tangible mark locally.
