Aug 27, 2026 club meeting

Our speaker on August 27th is Art Hirsch, co-founder of the Microplastics Coalition. Microplastics in the Great Lakes is an emerging water quality issue that has a huge potential to impact human health, the aquatic and terrestrial environments, and the economy of Michigan.  This will surely be an educational and important topic for us to learn more about.

Clues For Causes

Holland Rotary Charities fun times on Sept 17!  Family fun, team fun! Get your team together, gather a theme, and sign up.

Nari TenKley Ferreira and Linda Falstad from the After Hours Club spoke about the newest fundraising idea that the three Holland area Rotary clubs will be doing. It is called “Clues for Causes”. This Downtown Treasure Hunt is open for teams of 4-6 (suggested, but not limited) and is open to adults and children. We will gather at Big E’s Sports Grill on 8th Street to begin and will then move around three areas downtown (Window on the Waterfront, Downtown itself, and the Herrick Library) in search of items that are related to Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus. Once each team has completed their search, they will return to Big E’s for prizes and light fare.

Registration is now open. Postcards were handed out with a QR code link, and everyone was encouraged to share with their families, friends, church groups, etc. A link can also be found on our clubs’ websites, or you can go to
