Our Inbound students are starting to arrive and get familiar with their host community and Holland Rotarians before school starts!
For starters, join us in welcoming Olli from Finland and Vierra from Indonesia.

Olli arrived on the 14th of August and spent some time touring the area with interim host and Rotarian, John Helm. He also enjoyed an evening of BBQ Dinner, a hike up Mount Pisquah, and a movie at the Star theater with Rotarian, Terri Smith, and her family.  Not showing any signs of jet lag, Olli then embarked on a bike ride with group of Rotarians to Saugatuck (Olli in white shirt):

All hands were on deck Tuesday night to welcome our newest exchange student, Amanda "Vierra" Shavierra, from Indonesia. John ( past DG)& Helen Salan, John & Gail Helm, Sandy Hansen, Olli (Finland exchange
student) Carol & Ed Swart with Vierra, and Tom Bos.
Vierra traveled over 30 hours before arriving in Holland!!
At the Holland Rotary noon program on August 14th, Mandy Walker shared the importance of supporting the Nestlings Diaper Bank. This is a great way to provide real necessities to those in need in your community.

Why are diaper banks important?  " Diapers are a basic health necessity for babies but are not provided by government assistance programs. Keeping a child in a clean diapers should not depend on how much money you have." For more information, you can find Nestlings Diaper Bank on Facebook or visit; http://nestlings.org/
