Evan Castillo from Black River Public School was one of the attendees from Holland at the Rotary Life Leadership conference this past summer. The conference is held annually at Ferris State University.
Evan was really impressed with the conference. He particularly remembers the main speaker talking about making mental shifts. He has been using this since the conference. He was impressed with the inclusive group of kids that attended the conference.
He also learned about Interact clubs for high school students and that there are 2 already in Holland. Evan is going to work to start an Interact Club at Black River.
